History of the Department
The department of Commerce was opened in the academic session 1985-86 with 64 seats in +2 commerce and later on it was enhanced to 128 Seats in the session 1986-87. In the academic year 1990-91 under graduate course in commerce was started with 64 Seats (without honours). The teaching facility in accounting honours was provided with 16 seats in the year 2001-02, 48 Seats in 1916-17 and all 64 Seats in 2018-19 under Choice Based Credit System.
