This college is recognised by the Government of Orissa and is affiliated to the Utkal University upto +3 Degree Course in Arts, Science and Commerce and to the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa in +2Arts, Science and Commerce.

The College is affiliated to the Utkal University and Council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa and provides teaching at the +3 Degree & +2 stage in Arts, Science and Commerce. The following subjects are affiliated in different examinations. Students are to choose any three of the above optional subjects. Along with these compulsory & optional subjects, +2 Arts students may offer either Economics or Political Science as fourth optional, but this can not be claimed as a matter of right.

Physics, Chemistry(as compulsory subjects) and Biology or Mathematics as one of their optional subjects.

A B.Sc(Hons.) student shall choose an Honours subject carrying 800 marks, one pass subject carrying 400 marks one Minor elective carrying 100 marks and one Major elective of 200 marks consisting of two papers each carrying 100 marks besides compulsory papers. Subject(s) with practical shall carry 75% theory and 25% practical.A B.Sc.(Pass) student shall choose one subject as Major Elective from among the following subjects or other subject(s), to be decided by the University according to suitability and availability of subjects in the college, carrying 200 marks with two papers of 100 marks each(without practical component).Mathematics, Statistics, Anthropology, Geography, Psychology, Environmental Science provided that a student(Hons. or Pass) and any of the subjects like Life Science, Physics, Chemistry, Psychology, Environmental Science as Honours or Pass shall not be allowed to offer corresponding subject as a major elective paper.Paper - I - 75(Theory), Paper-II=75(Theory),Paper-III=50(Practical), Paper-IV=75(Theory), Paper-V(Theory)=75 & Paper-VI(Practical)=50. And the distribution of papers shall be made accordingly so as to confirm the year wise mark distribution as envisaged in the regulation 7.1A candidate shall be allowed to offer any one of the following M.I.L.s.Oriya, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu and Urdu, Provided that a candidate shall be allowed to offer Alternative English in Lieu of M.I.L. Principal of Regulatory Fromework Accounting Buss Mgt.Honours teaching is provided in Oriya, Economics, Political Science, History, Anthropology and Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Accounting. An applicant to the 1st year +3 Degree class may state in his/her application if he/she wants to take up honours. Selection for honours will be made on merit basis separately.Computer wing is imparting computer education for the following courses like PGDCA, CCP, CDPT, CCBA, CCMA,etc. at reasonable fees. in the college to both +2 and +3 studentsProvided that the University/Council may grand condonation of shortage in attendance to the extent of 5 percent, when the students represent the institution for specific purposes to be recorded in writing.
